WEEK: August 3rd week
   
 
 

In his first time deep fishing Hale Abels of 13 years old accompanied by his dad Jerry Abels from Palm Desert, California were fishing aboard Liliana with Captain Marcos Yepiz and mate Marco Agundez, released a 90 lbs Sailfish, and caught 45 lbs yellowfin tuna, 6 red snappers, and 12 more tuna as their final fishing count outside Cabo Pulmo area.

 
 

Along their families from Miraflores, Jesus Alonso Castro Olachea and Maria Concepcion de la Peņa got married in a private civil ceremony, then a dinner prepared by Chef Ramirez was held it in our terraza to celebrate with the new family this special day. Congratulations!

Water Temperature: The water is in very good conditions, calm, but a little breeze, hot, but not too hot, it is our Summer no doubt about it.

 

Air Temperature: It has been cloudy most of the week with  big clouds up in the Sierra de La Laguna chain, not raining just enough to cool off the temperatures. 

 

Fishing Spots and Distance: Our fleet tried this week more north to Pescadero area, were the hot water was, then moved to La Rivera, having a very good success.

 

Off-shore Fishing: Good week for billfish, mostly sails around, dorado was hiding, but tuna brought some fun for fight.

 

In-shore Fishing: Basically offshore action, but some snappers and jacks, also some roosters to get.

 

Bait Used: Mostly caballito some mackerel too, but captains are preferring the ballyhoo and sardine to look for the tuna. 

 

Highlight of the Week: Tuna fishing was great this past week.
