Rich History: Los Cabos Resorts
Many people dream of vacationing where the water is warm, white beaches are unspoiled, and there is lush, tropical vegetation. Located on the East Cape of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula, Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort offers all of the beauty and adventure as Los Cabos resorts and much more.
With a rich history, our Los Cabos vacation and resort dates back over 30 years. Originally built as a beachfront hacienda, it was the vacation retreat built by Mexican General Agustin Olachea. In 1976, Jesus "Chuy" Valdez leased the property. During this time, East Cape had not yet been discovered for its natural, pristine beauty. In 1981, Valdez purchased the property and began expanding the hotel. Now, the resort features a world-class restaurant, landscaped grounds with a pool and swim-up bar. With spectacular places like Cabo Pulmo and Cabo San Lucas nearby, Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort is the ideal place to stay.
Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park
Get away and explore the Sea of Cortez. As John Steinbeck once said, "The Sea of Cortez is the world's biggest [or greatest] fish trap." The Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park is located only about 40 miles off of the eastern cap of Baja. Known for abundant coral growth on rocky reefs, there are numerous colorful, tropical fish that live here. Many of the marine life can't be found anywhere else in the world. The rich water results in a profusion of plankton that forms the base of a vast food web or chain. All of this combined makes the Sea of Cortez one of the most productive waters in the world.
